to do:

  • apply to register using the form on this web site or by contacting Norman Haines, 147 Henley Road, Ipswich IP1 4NL, telephone 01473 215333

  • you will then be sent a registration form where you can register your charity on the Walk and you will also be able to register individual walkers on the same form

  • you must send the registration form back to Norman Haines, together with the appropriate registration fee for each walker (£5.00 for adults and £2.50 for people under 18 - registration on the day: £10 for adults, £5 for children)

  • further registration forms can be obtained from Norman Haines if you subsequently find more people are interested in walking for your charity

  • you will then receive sponsorship cards for each of the registered walkers

  • each of the walkers can then seek sponsors and will record their pledges on their cards

  • walkers must bring their sponsorship cards with them to the start of the Walk at Amberfield School, where they will be exchanged for Walk check cards which must be signed by a marshal at each checkpoint visited on the Walk

  • upon completion of the Walk, sponsorship cards are returned to each walker, together with a certificate testifying to the number of miles they completed

  • walkers collect the money due from each of their sponsors

  • an invoice will be sent from the Rotary Club to the contact person named on the initial registration form, requesting the money due to the Rotary Club of Ipswich East, the minimum being £10

  • you send the amount due to the Rotary Club of Ipswich East to Mrs Belinda Runnacles, 1 Barker Close, Ipswich IP2 0DU Tel: 01473 287715, and then send the balance of the money you raised to the charity you nominated.
