Would you like to raise money for the charity of your choice? If so, you’ve come to the right place. Every June, by taking part in the Orwell Walk, ordinary people raise thousands of pounds for charities of all descriptions. Some are big national charities like Save the Children, others are needy causes close to home like scout troops and junior football clubs. The next walk takes place on June 27th 2010. | |
The event is organised and marshalled by the Rotary Club of Ipswich East and is one of the biggest annaul fundraising events in East Anglia. Since its inception in 1977 the walk has raised over £1 million. You can see a list of some of the charities that have benefited by clicking here
